Carrie's Third Album "Play On" was Released November 3, 2009

The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 318,000 copies; and rated as the highest first week sales for a female artist in 2009. With the release of this album, Carrie Underwood surpassed Kelly Clarkson as the "Highest-Selling American Idol album in the United States" by 100,000 albums. I think it should be noted that Carrie has only released 3 albums while Kelly has released 4 albums and been around 3 years longer than Carrie. With only 2 singles release so far, both have gone #1, giving Carrie 12 #1 singles in 3 albums but this album is not finished releasing singles. The next single to be released will be "Undo It" and it should do very well.
Carrie's Second Album "Carnival Ride" was Released October 23, 2007

The album debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart selling 527,000 copies, now the album has sold 3,081,000 copies in the U.S. giving Carrie her first #1 album. 5 #1 singles and Certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. The first three singles were co-written by Underwood.
Debut Album "Some Hearts" was Released November 15, 2005

5 #1 singles and Certified seven times platinum in the U.S. It is also the best selling debut album by a solo female country music artist in history. With 6,968,000 copies sold in the United States, Some Hearts is listed as one of the 100 Best Selling Albums of All Time by the RIAA.
