Was Carrie's Big Break

However, American Idol is certainly not the reason that Carrie Underwood is so successful. If it were that easy, we'd have 8 Superstars running around because of American Idol, and that's simply not the case. I don't believe there is any one reason for Carrie's extraordinary success but I do believe there are a few key reasons that are worth mentioning.

1. Carrie's faith in God, this is by far the most important reason because without God we can accomplish nothing. Moreover, he's responsible for giving her those "Golden Pipes", in the first place.
2. Carrie never relied on her popularity from American Idol to sustain her career, she hit the ground running and has worked very hard to learn more about singing, performing, writing songs, choosing good songs and she has challenged herself with some very grueling touring schedules to promote herself and her music. I suppose I should also give Carrie some credit for surrounding herself with some good writers and advisors too. Carrie is also co-writing more hits now and her fans are loving the fact that they get to hear more from her inner thoughts and imagination.
3. Carrie has a persona that seems to attract good loyal fans that love her and support her. She's modest, polite, giving, friendly and even though she is very smart and very beautiful, she never flaunts it. Although, she does express, to her fans, her belief in a good education. Carrie is not only the kind of Girl that girls wants to be like, Carrie is also the girl that everyone wants to have for a friend.
4. Carrie has remained just as down to earth as the day she won American Idol. I know, I know, she now wears expensive and glamorous gowns to awards shows, she goes to elaborate parties and hobnobs with the elite celebrity crowd but isn't that all part of the business. When Carrie's performing for her fans at a concert or interacting with them at a fan club party or just out there playing softball for the Opry team, she's still the same girl, inside, that auditioned for and won American Idol. Of course, it's true that Carrie's confidence level has grown but that's a must in her business and she has also matured in other ways as she is now older, wiser and about to be married but those are all the proper ways in which we are supposed to change.
5. How could I end this list without stating the obvious, she has one of the most powerful, flawless, sweetest, and seductive voices that I've ever heard. She sings from the heart with such passion that sometimes it seems that the words coming out won't be enough of a release to keep her emotions from overwhelming her. This is most evident in what her Fans call, "The Carrie Bounce". That's when her left leg starts to move, like she's vigorously tapping her heel or flexing her knee and with such force that her whole body bounces, sometimes her eyes start to well up and she always gets the most beautiful smile on her face. Most fans admit that this pumps them with an excitement that either brings tears to their eyes or sets a lump in their throats the size of a Granny Smith, I experience both, usually.. Of course, it's not this movement from Carrie that elicits such a responses from her fans, it's because we know what is happening within Carrie, at that moment, and we feel and experience it with her. As you watch, you will see that Carrie is not someone that you merely watch or listen to, Carrie is someone that you experience or feel.

I honestly believe that Carrie already had everything needed to be a very special, successful and adored singer/performer; she only needed the venue to share her amazing talent, faith and personality, American Idol gave her that venue and viewers loved her right from the start. The more you learn about Carrie, the more you will understand why people are so drawn to Carrie and love her so much. It's a fact, Carrie is very beautiful and talented but she is so much more than that, she is very sharp, hard working, witty, humble, charming, charitable and personable and she automatically attracts some of the most loyal and loving fans of anyone in the Music Industry today. Not only is Carrie highly respected for being a very hardworking and talented singer and performer but she is also highly respected as a fantastic role model for her younger fans. That is why I say:

Carrie Underwood Has It All, Beauty, Brains and Benevolence.
